It’s been very hard to be quiet since April upon the nomination - TopicsExpress

It’s been very hard to be quiet since April upon the nomination of Liz Kuoppala for the Virginia McKnight Binger Award for Human Service. But the day is here! She has been chosen as one of only 6 people in Minnesota to be recognized for going above and beyond in her work. Having served as Board Chair during very challenging years at the Minnesota Coalition for the Homeless, I saw first hand the sacrifices Liz made as Executive Director of MCH while serving on the Eveleth, MN City Council, commuting from the Iron Range, usually without compensation for gas, sleeping overnight in the office (unbeknownst to any of us), not getting paid on time (who would go for that)? She has an optimism that’s contagious and has led to MCH now being stronger than ever with more staff around the state ending people’s homelessness every day. Congratulations, Liz Kuoppala! We are all proud of you! Now, back to our offsite meeting... startribune/local/274561041.html
