It’s clear that if they don’t get their way, they have no qualms about engaging in violence against their fellow citizens. But don’t call them terrorists. They’re “Patriots!” They believe that the terror they inflict is justifiable because their God and their guns, their white skin and their citizenship status gives them the right wage acts of war against their political enemies. Their cause is holy and righteous, and whoever doesn’t believe that is subject to violence or threats of violence. There’s no difference whatsoever between the republican-tealiban and the Taliban, except that the tealiban is on American soil, and they pose a real and constant threat to the safety of US citizens, right now. There’s only one goal behind the hate speech, the constant talk of violence and the constant display of weaponry from the right wing. That goal is to cause people who hold opposing views to be afraid. That is the definition of terrorism. The posts about McQuilliams being a “white hero” illustrate just how twisted the right wing really is. Their hatred has consumed them to the point that violence against their fellow Americans is something to be celebrated. They view themselves as ‘heroes,’ not as the criminals and murderers they are.
