It’s hard to put into words what we feel about the loss of Katie. This summer we were fortunate enough to have her as our project supervisor in Peru. She was like a second mom to us and supported us so much throughout the summer. We couldn’t have done it without her. Katie truly played a role in making us who we are today. She did so much for us and would do much more in a heartbeat and she was just such a loyal and passionate person. She was so young and had much left to do, but even so had accomplished so much in her 22 years. We’re all in disbelief at the loss of one of the most amazing people we have ever known and our hearts go out to Katie’s family and friends. Rest in peace Katie.
