It’s nice to look back at our first 50 years in space now that we are in the process of moving into the next 50 years with our robotic space probes and Project Orion. NASA Kennedy created a really nice 50-year video: https://youtube/watch?v=WrGEU5irS8o – this may have a special meaning for Dr. Beering and his wife Jane, members of The Stratford, since Dr. Beering is not only a President Emeritus of Purdue University but also was a doctor for the first 7 astronauts and knew them personally. Also, the test flight of Orion was not the only major accomplishment in Project Orion this year.
