It’s so ironic to me that death is guaranteed to every living - TopicsExpress

It’s so ironic to me that death is guaranteed to every living person but we never “prepare” for it. Why is it that when someone dies everyone is in limbo? I’m thankful to my parents for having that UNCOMFORTABLE but necessary conversation with me each year. The first time my dad sat me down to go over his life insurance and his Will, I was in highschool. My emotions were high the entire time he was talking to me because I thought he was indirectly trying to tell me he was dying. But as the years went on, I now appreciate these talks my parents give me because I see how dysfunctional things can be when someone is terminally ill or has passed. If you have a child that is of “decision making age” they should know what to do when you pass away: Where you want your funeral? Do you even want a funeral? Cremated or burial? Who gets your belongings? What color you want to wear? Who to keep OFF the program? Lol…. My point is if things are in order it removes a lot of the unnecessary drama and helps family focus on being able to grieve peacefully. If your parents haven’t had this discussion with you, then YOU be the one to start it. When I pass away I just want everyone to party, tell each other how much they care for each other, and take care of my daughter. Show her lots of pictures and share lots of memories of how I was before she came along. And most importantly DO NOT let her grow up to be a whore. I work too hard raising her to be a smart, independent woman. OK. That’s my life coaching for the day. Love yall! xo
