It’s the end of a new year and the start of another. 2014 has brought on many adventures and has led me to a place I never expected to be. I’m not talking about the trips or book signings, but rather down a path of self-discovery I guess you could call it. I’ve come to realize that the world of writing, though a wonderful place, is still full of people who will take advantage of others. I’ve also learned that friends, true friends, are very hard to find so when you do Find them HOLD THEM TIGHT, and family is MOST important. They should NEVER suffer or be ignored because time passes too fast. Besides my Family the one thing I missed while on FB and all other Social Media sites doing takeovers and giveaways while waiting to be noticed was the one thing that brought me here…WRITING. PLAIN & SIMPLE WRITING. I was always too distracted with trying to become a Top #100 or USA Bestselling Author that I lost the simple satisfaction of imaging a story and having the time to create it. I’ve missed that so I’ve taken time away from social media and will continue to do so to write. Its not about that to me anymore. I just miss Writing and Imagining… Make Believe. Who cares about the popularity contest? Ive stressed over the last decade over my daughters health so why when shes so healthy should I stress over sales? or rankings? Why do I want to be better than someone and grovel in jealousy and pity that my book isnt as good as someone elses? Im tired of trying to get noticed… If its meant to happen it will. I tell myself that there were many writers and lovers of the written word before technology and social media ever entered a man’s imagination. I’ve also unfortunately for my readers had to cancel my signings for this upcoming year. As well as the above my daughter doesn’t do well when mommy is away so as of right now traveling is out. Maybe 2016 will be different, maybe not. As of now my travels will be few & my stories will be many. I love you all and wish you a Safe and HAPPY New Years.
