It’s time again for our Friday Foursome - four new shows for January’s Out to Lunch - the festival we built to take the pain and misery out of the longest month of the year. First up is our alternative New Year celebration on Friday January 2 featuring the awesome Booka Brass Band ably supported by Festival favourites TUCAN. Then we have the only Belfast screening of The Possibilities are Endless , a beautiful film about the post-stroke recovery of our hero, Edwyn Collins. Next up is one of the most talked-about shows on the UK comedy scene, Austentatious: An Improvised Jane Austen Novel - a comedy play spun in the inimitable style of Jane Austen – and based entirely on audience suggestions. Finally, we have the incomparably great Viv Albertine, former guitarist and songwriter with The Slits who will be reading from her acclaimed memoir Clothes, Clothes, Clothes. Music, Music, Music. Boy, Boys, Boys. Remaining shows will be announced on November 27. We’re not going to mention the ‘C’ word, but you can now buy gift vouchers for your loved ones to choose whichever show they please. Thank us later. x cqaf
