Ive always been proud to be a Philadelphian, even when the whole city looked like David Lynchs Eraserhead in the 70s, through the dark times of the Move disaster, terrible leadership of Green, Rizzo, and Goode and an epic trash strike of the 80s, to finally starting to see the city turn around in a big way under Ed Rendell in the 90s. But what has happened in the last 15 or so years despite the best efforts to destroy any progress by John Street, the republicans in Harrisburg, and one term Corbett has been remarkable. The restaurants, the nightlife and music scene, the art and new construction has just been beautiful to see. Now all we need is a Superbowl and better schools (yes in that order) and we will be scary. Here is the video that made me feel all fuzzy inside. https://youtube/watch?v=NNeGDWs6pfY
