Ive always been sort of obsessed with photographs. Even as a kid, I remember my parents had lost a bunch of childhood photos that I used for a school project, and I was heartbroken for months. Years ago, my grandmother passed and I went through her apartment and found a ton of loose photographs thrown in drawers - all so historic and fascinating, uncovering the great love affair with my grandfather (who I never met but always noticed that my grandmother could not talk about without tearing up), and the classic times they shared with their friends in the 1920s and 30s in Brooklyn. I gathered them up and put them in albums and I think even had them scanned on CD. Just tonight they crossed my mind and I could not remember seeing them in the house we now live in, and my heart sank. It didnt take me long to find them and pour over them and to be brought to tears once again. Here are a couple of pages from those albums and a tribute to them I shared at my wedding. What the hell, its Saturday night, Im sure you guys have nothing better to do... :)
