Ive always celebrated a different occasion this day each year--a day where I packed up my then 8 month old, and left with two suitcases and $60 to my name. To come from a place of despair (and where I barely recognized myself ) to the beautiful life I now have five years later, is an amazing reflection...and a testament to anyone that you can do better, be better, dream bigger than you ever thought possible. I wouldnt be who I am today without the love and support of people I hold dear in my life, and I thank all of you for being there for every hardship, every breakdown, and every triumph. I am overwhelmed with gratitude and emotion as I inch closer to graduating with my BSN next weekend from the University of South Florida. For a long time, I didnt see my life moving past the stagnancy...I wasnt able to embrace my potential. I am thankful for my beautiful children who gave me the courage and motivation to aspire to greater things, and for a man Jason) who loved me when I didnt love myself. Thank you!
