Ive always considered Rep. Mack Butler (R-Rainbow City) to be a good friend. Generally willing to set aside any differences to have pleasant conversations and interactions. In the past few weeks many of my friends have been blocked from his Facebook due to his ongoing primary campaign. Anyone who has questioned, been concerned with, or had any general disagreement with his message has been deleted automatically. This morning I posted a clarification question on one of his most recent posts and well it looks like Ive crossed his line, too. Ive now been cut-off from interaction with one of my countys legislative delegates. Previously Ive had no preference in the outcome of the House District 30 race; as long as the winner is dedicated to the success of Etowah County, Im happy. To my friends in Rainbow City, Southside, Gallant, Glencoe and the rest of HD 30 who will be voting in the Republican primary on Tuesday: my prayers are with you that you will make the best choice. Im ready for these races to be over so our officials will move forward instead of staying bogged down in campaign rhetoric.
