Ive always felt a bit meh about conventional political billboard ads. They usually contain meaningless slogans that neither tell voters anything substantial about the candidate or party, nor challenge them to think critically. Its also pretty crappy that whichever party spends the most on political advertising (billboards and TV ads) tends to win the election. On the other hand, it could be incredibly powerful to put a genuinely provocative idea out into the public sphere as part of the campaign, so Im crowd-sourcing suggestions... Assuming I could find the money for a billboard ad (perhaps also through crowd-funding), what sort of theme/message do you think it should contain? (Remember, were not trying to preach to the converted with this... were trying to reach people who wouldnt normally think about voting Greens... short and funny is good) What sorts of messages would you like to see on billboards in inner-city Brisbane?
