Ive always liked a woman who had layers. Someone with a certain amount of calm complexity to her character and style. In the past few years, the problem Ive encountered with different women was their predictability. Too many women today have become cookie cutter assembly line replicas of one another. Just look around. How many women do you honestly see rocking unique hairstyles? Or clothing? Or truly being themselves? So many are trend followers; so few are trendsetters. It seems that as soon as some pop star tries a new style, it becomes the norm of black female culture. Think back to Nicki Minaj with the pink lipstick and neon colored wigs. Or the rapper Eve with the short blond hair and panther footprint tattoos. I saw way too many grown behind women rocking the same look. It wasnt even a good look on Nicki and Eve! So how do you think it made those other style-jacking females look? It seems like everyone is copying everyone else, and no one is willing to just be themselves anymore. The best way for a woman to stand out these days is by being different. Different is your key to getting attention! If all the other women around you are dressing in skin tight outfits with 4 inch heels: dress down in something looser and more subdued. If all the other women have the same basic look, no one is standing out anymore. Some of you stay chasing after the fast attention and cheap compliments that come when you throw on something skin tight. While that may net you a few eyeballs and glances, its shortlived. Another woman in something similar walks by, and those eyeballs now follow her instead of you. And quit saying you wear tight clothes out in public because its comfortable. You aint fooling nobody! We know you only do it for the attention. Im not trying to tell you how to dress. Just offering some helpful advice and dress tips to help you get ahead, so that you wont get lost in the crowd. Besides: if you can take style advice from gay men who dont even LIKE women, certainly you can hear some from a straight man who does! ;-)
