Ive always loved Emma. In this speech, I think she hits some really good points. However, when she says, When [men] are free, things will change for women as a natural consequence. If men don’t have to be aggressive, women won’t be compelled to be submissive. If men don’t need to control, women won’t have to be controlled, I push back a bit. To me, it sounds like shes saying that womens rights are contingent upon male freedom. But thats just my feeling, and I think the message is fantastic overall. People, do you. RIP this pink vs. blue binary. It is time that we all see gender as a spectrum instead of two sets of opposing ideals. Been sayin it for ages: GENDER IS A SPECTRUM.
