Ive always loved this city. And I believe in the potential for it - TopicsExpress

Ive always loved this city. And I believe in the potential for it to do so much more. From attending my first zoning meeting at age 2, to fighting transit fare hikes, Ive always struggled for what I thought to be in Winnipegs best interest. Today, after lots of encouragement from across the community and the political spectrum, I am announcing my intentions to run for Mayor of Winnipeg. I see the potential for this city to be a champion of human rights, a beacon of progressive and open governance and an environmental champion of the world. I am overjoyed to have both Talula Schlegel and Nicolas Audette as my campaign co-chairs. I couldnt ask for anyone else to assist me in this endeavour. The road is long and at the core of any functioning campaign is an extensive volunteer corp. If youre interested in making the city a better place, give my campaign outreach coordinator Peyton Veitch a call- the phone lines are open. I look forward to working with all citizens of Winnipeg to make this a city that we can all believe in and one that we actually want to live in. I hope that you can join me on this journey. -30-
