Ive always said that if I went on a cruise and the boat stopped at a port of call, Id get off the boat, but I wouldnt want to get back on. I have never seen myself as a tourist but rather someone who would want to fit in with the local culture mainly island. I stumbled across this documentary series called EX-PATS hosted by Savannah Jane Buffett on YouTube, and I must say that if I ever go to the Caribbean it might just be to stay. Savannah travels to capture the island lives of ex-PATS from the US, and I must say I fell in love with the stories she covers right away. She covers very different stories from what we are use to hearing like going to the Caribbean just to vacation there. These ex-Pats risk it all to trade the hustle and bustle of American for the simple, laid-back lifestyle of the island life. I envy the people and their stories that Savannah covers.
