Ive always swooned over Leonardo DiCaprio since I was little (beginning with Titanic- lol) and still yet swoon over him. Ive always loved his acting (even through the struggle for an Oscar- hah) but aside from what he brings to on screen for entertainment, THIS is what I admire him for. His concerns reach matters that are important and instead of using his fame for reasons only to further benefit himself, he uses it to reach out to audiences over important environmental issues. This is one of his many projects he has taken to further push out the information we humans NEED to be seeing. That iceberg that got Jack in Titanic might not see cold enough days eventually as our global warming rates alarmingly rise. And although Jack wouldnt have ever known it (come back, Jack!), Leo is more than aware. Seriously, though, I suggest everyone take a moment to read into what he and others are trying to get us to see. With such extreme rates of global warming occuring, I am honestly scared to think what our Earth will be like for us all when were old and have ruined the one thing we should have treated with the utmost respect and concern. That doesnt even cover the generations to come that will be affected by this problem. Might it be us or maybe our great great grandchild one day that looks around them at a dying world that was neglected by its inhabitants? Just food for thought.
