Ive always wanted to go back to Muncie Indiana (lived there from 60-68) and visit my old elementary/middle school Burris Laboratory School - and amazingly last night I had the chance! Things had changed a lot as one might expect, and it was probably not the best idea to take our dog Ziggy along, as at some point I lost her leash and was worried Id lose her, but she loved the sights, sounds, and the smells of course! It was hard to get around in my wheelchair, and the cobblestone streets, gravel roads, and steep side streets leading up to the massive cliffs made it harder, but I was able to dodge the helicopters that were falling out of the sky -- never found my old house, but did stumble across Burris after all -- but was puzzled by way it was covered with piñatas and tomatoes -- sadly, Ziggy then ran off and swam into the coral reef cavern right next to the school, and was lost -- and the ninjas, did I mention the ninjas? And then I woke up. Moral of the story? When the kids come home, never mix Asti Spumante with Shiner Brewers Pride Craft Brew No. 3 (flavored with Prickly Pear juice!) Or, maybe as a scientist, I should try to replicate the experiment tonight, but after attending the Presidents Convocation at the Bryce Jordan Center.
