Ive been a bit under the radar, but another video should be up in the next few days. Happy Australia day btw! In the meantime, I have my first favourite album of 2015: https://bleep/release/52059-fka-twigs-lp1 I dont mean it was released in 2015, just that I finally got around to listening to it now :P Its pretty amazing stuff - ethereal vocals, chopped up samples, textured and downright gut churning bass lines. So densely textural, like some kind of deconstructed R&B cake. Ive been looking for a while for an album that sounds in the same vein as Grimes Visions, and this is the closest Ive heard in a while. Its this kind of music that to me justifies sets like the XBA-Z5: dense, bassy, complex, instinctive. NGHHHH SO GOOD.
