Ive been a faithful Google Chrome user for a couple of years now, - TopicsExpress

Ive been a faithful Google Chrome user for a couple of years now, but Im being forced to switch back to the first non-IE browser I ever used, Mozilla Firefox. Googles browser has historically been much faster than Firefox on Linux systems. However in recent months it seems like Firefox performance is improving while Chromes is worsening. Over the past couple of weeks Ive noticed that if I leave the house with Chrome open on several tabs and then come back after a half hour or so, the browser processes will have an enormous memory footprint and on several occasions when trying to just un-minimize the browser it has slowed down the whole system to the point that Ive had to switch over to a terminal to kill the Chrome processes. This reduced reliability and performance combined with the occasional page rendering issue (this has always existed, but was rare enough that it was more than made up for by the speed of the browser) and the fact that they no longer support the Java plugin, which I have to have to use several sites that I visit regularly, has motivated me to break up with Google Chrome and move back in with my ex, :P Im just posting this status to see if anybody else has noticed anything similar lately, and so I can tag Google to let them know that something is going on that they need to look into.
