Ive been a little bit pre-occupied with the National Park Services new LGBTQ Heritage Initiative and rejoicing in its amazingly supportive attitude. As we work to get queer historical sites recognized on the National Register of Historic Places and the National Historic Landmarks list, the Park Service is also helping local LGBTQ communities to identify their sites. Those of us who served on the June NPS roundtable are hoping to run a workshop on queer historic preservation at the next Creating Change conference.
