Ive been asked before if I support people using faux leather (imitation leather/not real) in their style since it apparently advertises leather products and popularizes them. My answer is always actually pretty understandable. Most people wear leather products for the look, not for anything else. I have yet to meet someone who wears a leather jacket because it has some real functional purpose. I have yet to meet someone wearing leather boots that actually knew why they wore them. The same goes for products made with fur. Imitation products are available and offer the same look and feel. I support faux leather products because to me it doesnt advertise leather products. It only supports my claim that there is no REAL reason for anyone to buy or wear leather products anymore. You get the same look out of fake products, and you do it without killing an animal. And youll probably spend less money. Of course i have my reasons for not wearing leather (torture, murder, killing animals) but nowadays theres no excuse for anyone else to either. If you would choose to wear products made with leather or fur when you could easily just get an imitation product, then you openly admit to caring more about having a jacket youll wear for one month than you do about a living creature living out its entire life. Youll be trendy for a week, theyll be tortured and killed. Dont act like you dont realize it. Ignorance is no excuse, and neither is apathy.
