Ive been asked to list some things that my facebook friends may not know about me, kinda hard since Im an open book, but here we go #1. Ive made all kinds of decisions in my 62 years both good and bad, and everwhere in between. The best was in 1971 when I met my future wife Laurie. I knew pretty quickly that this was the one, when when she fired up a ciggy for me while I was driving . 42 years later----its all good. #2. I feel like we need to try to start thinking more globally with regard to peace, wealth distribution, health car, etc.. Some little kid in Africa is just as important to me, as some spoiled brat in myown sub-division . Im not a nationalist. We need to start working against tribalism, if we are going to progress. #3. I love College sports , and in all sports I tend to root for under dogs. Favorite Nascar guy is Marcus Ambrose. (prior to that : the late Dick Trickle.) #4 I love Automobiles, and have owned 25, including a Lotus, Citreon DS 21, 2 Z cars (74 and 2005) an MG, and some other nice ones. Stupid from a $$ standpoint but what the hell. #5 I love me some good music. When I do look at a new car, 2 things at the top of list ar horsepower vs weight, and the sterio system. Love to drive and listen to some tunes. (especially at night) Play it loud so others can enjoy it. #6Im glad to be an animal lover. Very few times in my life have I been dogless. 6 or 7 rescues to my credit. Dogs are the best people ever. #7I believe we have grossly mis handle drug problems in this country. Huge waste of taxpayer money that has created an outlaw culture, and dis enfranchised many otherwise good folks. Its a health problem. period #8. I come from a small family, and have a few really good friends. Whenever I part company with any of them, We hug, and exchange I love yous. You just never know. #9. I have a decent vocabullary, but I cant spell shit. #10I like some dirty jokes. Or clever non dirty jokes. Im a senior when it comes to sophmoreic humor . #11. Most of the people that cuss are more empathtic than those that dont. Real people as opposed to plastic people. #12. Love to drink coffee, smoke ciggys, and read the paper. Sports page first, followed by front page (Like letter to the editor ) and Metro and the obits. (Keeping score on the obits to see how many are younger vs. older than me. #13. Love a good documentry (Best Ive seen is Oliver Stones, History of America. #14. Love philosophy and psycology. No right or wrong (unlike math and science). Just a difference. Example people that are distrustful are probably dishonest. We all relate back to ourselves. #15. Friggin amazed by technology. To think that my mom grew up without electricity. and my pop had the first radio in his community. My family got our first TV when I was 6 in 1957. Looking forward to time machines, and using some of this technology to cureing illness, righting wrong, Instead of just chasing a buck #16, Went to four different school systems from grade 8, tru 12. #17.I have one son. Works with things he loves. (by trade a European auto mechanic ) Sells Corvette parts now. Very bright, socially conscience, and good hearted individual. Doesnt suffer fools too well. #18. My Home is the coal mining community of Haysi Virginia. I went to a 3 room elementry school. where 2 of the teachers were my late parents. Great aunt taught the other room. No running water, pot bellied stove. Bring your lunch. with outdoor shitters. Best Education Ever.
