Ive been asked why I dont post in more detail about where Im headed, what Im hauling, and the like. There are multiple reasons why I dont. First, it takes quite a bit of time to type out a post on a phone. What would take me 30 seconds on a computer can easily take 5 minutes on the phone. Second, a lot of what I haul isnt all that interesting. Really, 40,000 pounds of dry dog food? Third, there is an issue of confidentiality. Im sure Target doesnt want Walmart to know what theyre buying. Fourth, and actually the most important from my perspective, is what the military guys call OpSec. Short for Operational Security. I really dont want it to be public knowledge that Im hauling a load of ammo down two lane roads in northern New Mexico. How about a load of flatscreen TVs in New Jersey? Id rather keep quiet about that, thankyouverymuch. If Im somewhere interesting (like Winslow, AZ), Ill post it. Or, if I actually do haul something more interesting than cases of motor oil, Ill post about that *after* Ive delivered it. Just thought Id clear that up.
