Ive been cleaning the porch today but I noticed a storm coming so I started the move-in process. As I was outside cleaning up, the rain hit hard and I was able to see immediately that the gutters werent draining properly. Since I was already wet, I pulled out the ladder and started moving from downspout to downspout clearing the leaves. At one point I got around to the front and noticed the Post Person putting mail in the box. I could hear her thinking What is that guy doing out in the rain? My answer came quickly enough... Every kid loves to play in the rain and hence, must want to grow up and be a home owner (so they can do what Im doing.) Every home owner loves to work in the rain (it is quite refreshing) and therefore, essentially wants to be a kid. As Im thinking this, I climb down the ladder to the ground and feel like Im getting shocked on my right foot. I look down and see an orange snake biting my foot and scream Holy Monkey Piss Crap! Get the Fudge off my foot! God I hate Monday-Friday snakes. I could literally hear the Mail Person laughing and I realized that I was back up the ladder and almost on the roof. I turned, smiled, waved, shook off the heebie-jebies and then safely descended the ladder. Sorry, no photos.
