Ive been following the ebola issue and not commenting on it, until I had enough information to form some kind of opinion. I watched a pretty good documentary on the first doctor that was infected with it, that came back to America for treatment and survived. There is no cure for ebola. All a hospital can do, is provide support for your body as your various systems shut down. So when your kidneys and liver arent functioning, you are put on dialysis. If your breathing is affected, youre given breathing support. They keep saying on the news, that an outbreak in America wouldnt be that bad, and that people wont die from it in America because we have great medical care. Well how many dialysis machines and centers are there?? How many hospitals are equipped to have hundreds of people in critical condition all at the same time? The truth is the only way to treat it, is to stop letting people into our country who are infected. The truth is, once you make it here, you might still die from the disease. The truth is, it spreads a little easier then anyone gave it credit for. So there you go. Thats my 2 cents. Im not gonna get all freaked out, or cry or go into hysterics. It is what it is, and its here. The first person to die in America from the Ebola virus, died today.
