Ive been in this group for seven years. Since not long into the groups life. Due to personal reasons Ive not posted much for awhile. Ive seen a lot over the years, who can forget our favourite teen boy who claimed to know more than Dr Jack? (only if youre in denial... Sorry bad joke) Or another group mass joining us to pick a fight. Weve had our share of ups and downs and despite many efforts from Facebook were still here. Its upsetting lately to see the infighting. People trying to censor each other and yelling admin! when it doesnt work. So lets get some things straight. This group was NOT set up to support breastfeeding. It WAS set up to make a stand against Facebooks censorship. That means we dont censor each other, we dont ask or expect admin to censor others and we dont troll other places to report. However this group was set up by crunchy mothers and so over the years a variety of crunchy topics have been discussed and despite reaching quarter of a million members before archiving weve really had a small group of regular posters who have offered support to each other so yes this is also a place to get support. It is just not its primary purpose. So Im calling on members in 2015 to skip over posts that dont interest them, ignore trolls, act like the grownups youre supposed to be and moderate your own behaviour and arguments, and GET OVER the fact we WILL continue to discuss whatever our members wish to discuss. You are not obligated to read or post on every thread!
