Ive been inputting work and my chapbook book title A Treading of Waters is by far one of the saddest but it was meant to be written. Someone told me, Hey, Karen, write a story about what a woman truly goes through in a divorce. Im here thinking, Im sure there are plenty of books like that. No, came the reply, not like the one you can write, not about the darkness, not about the truth. Then I thought, I already wrote that book. I have. In rhyme. Ive shared some of them with you. But its just not about this chapbook. I have several groups of books about love, the darkness and coming out of the darkness. I didnt think when I was going through it, I just wrote and wrote and wrote. It didnt really occur to me that I was writing about emotions not really written about: what it really feels like to be in the darkness. Maybe its an idea to come to pass....we shall see.
