Ive been keeping a little secret for over a month but now it is time to share! As some of you know, thanks to a number of my client horses whom I have trained this past few years, I have once again become hooked on the A (Under) sized Miniatures for driving. Although I will always love my Over Division driving horses and will continue to drive them of course, I have found that there are Under division horses now being bred with better conformation and movement then years ago which I have found to be very exciting! After an extensive search, I finally found what I believe will be my future Under driving horse and breeding stallion. So I would like to formally welcome Ravenwood Aristocrat Ohh Behave (aka Beans), 32 AMHA/AMHR bay stallion to Dakota Winds Farm Miniature Horses! Beans has come all the way from Florida to become a Canadian citizen (although Im sure hes not too impressed with all this snowy cold weather weve had since hes come home). I am looking forward to training him for driving and showing him on both the AMHA and AMHR show circuits. Due to basically the perfect set of circumstances as well as a number of people who worked hard to make this all happen for me, my acquisition of Beans was made possible. So I would like to thank the following people: First and most importantly, Dianna Peffly from Eleven Acres Ranch of Lithia Florida for selling me this lovely boy. Through her excellent customer service, continued support and friendship, Dianna made Beans sale to me an absolutely seamless and wonderful experience. Thank you also to Donna Lavery from Winning Streak Miniature Horses of Florida for conditioning & showing Beans at the 2014 AMHA Worlds Show and bringing him to a World Top Ten win (7th out of 11 in Class# 188 Senior Stallions, Over 30 to 32); LaVonne Reardon for transporting Beans from AMHA Worlds Show to Kentucky; Laura Tennill from Ten L Training Centre of Kentucky for picking up Beans from LaVonne and boarding him for me until I could pick him up as well as arranging Beans border crossing paperwork to come home to Canada. Thank you to Tracy Sammons & Terri Schell for their friendship and support in taking me with them to trailer Beans home recently from Kentucky. Much appreciation goes to my many friends and contacts here on FB who supported me in my Under stallion search by sending me leads, pictures and information on prospects they thought might meet my needs. And last but not least, my wonderful husband Ken who gave in (this time) to my strong belief of Lifes short, buy the damn pony theory. ;) Photos Used with Permission by Dianna Peffly [email protected]
