Ive been known to hibernate for weeks on end, sometimes even months… during the holiday season. — I dont hold the same views and opinions as those around me when it comes to holidays, though; which is the main reason. – While many buy into, rather literally, the commercialism of the season when its offered months in advance, I tend to bypass it, since Christmas, in my opinion – has been, is, and will continue to be – about family spending time together. (I dont need hundreds of dollars of gifts handed to me in order to be happy.) With commercialism constantly overpowering the minds (and wallets) of many during the latter quarter of the year, its hard to notice others; Hannukah, Kwanza, and even Thanksgiving have become lost in the shadows of commercialism. — I hope that you, my friends, while you may exchange gifts, attend parties and other social gatherings while youre enjoying the holiday season, I hope that you do not lose sight of the importance, the meaning behind and reasons for, the holiday(s) of which you choose to celebrate.
