Ive been learning lately (for a lifetime) that some people are so empty they have very little to give, emotionally or spiritually. I need to be okay with that. I need to pour into them without any expectation of the pouring back, the give and take that blesses us. Rather than focus on that and be disappointed in others and lopsided relationships, I need to take my very little and the tiny bit they have to offer, and ask God to multiply it. And be okay with the fact that the equation doesnt balance. Because its a picture of how my offering of myself to God and others doesnt balance. It can never equal what God has given and continues to lavish on me. Im thinking God may not be about equality equations and relationships but rather about exponentially multiplying our lack with His fullness and goodness. Sorry a little way too deep math for yall. Hope it makes sense.
