Ive been looking for ways to get traction in the USA ahead of the Monstrous Kickstarter launch beyond just having a dozen reviews and lots of BGG adverts ahead of the launch. The US have about 500 decent sized Cons per year compared to our dozen or so. So how do you find advocates and evangelists for your game at those big events and or meetup and game clubs? Ill have at least pre KS 20 - 30 demo copies of Monstrous and would seriously consider a larger bunch of promotional copies once the real thing is out. Today I found the Envoy program. TL:DR Its a new attempt to auspice a quality controlled US wide game demo network of people who can earn awards depending on how often they demo. It looks... interesting, they promise the world but are new enough that they cant yet prove they can deliver it. it runs in service tiers with annual subscription fees 1.8K. 5K, 12K etc Im seeking more info from them directly and anyone else who has investigated. Wondering if this can be leveraged to generate kickstarter interest?
