Ive been monitoring, not keeping count, but noticing on the ten book thing thats going around on facebook, more of my friends than not have cited one title more often than others, To Kill A Mockingbird. Now theres a book that has something for everybody. Boys and girls both wanted to be more like Scout, and everybody wanted a father like Atticus Finch. Hell, I wanted to BE a father like him. Harper Lee wrote one book, but it was enough. A few years ago, AFI conducted a poll and revealed that Gregory Peck in the role of Atticus Finch was the greatest American film hero we ever saw. To quote my friends from the Writer Guild, somebody wrote that. Thank you, Harper Lee.
