Ive been playing the demo of super smash for a bit the things I noticed Dat nostalgic feel: definitely feels like smash as dumb as it sounds to say. Because the demo has Mario, pikachu, link (the standard) it definitely feels like smash. The variety: for a game with no story this is something I was hoping for. A variety of new and random things, something of the sort Ive never seen this before! or this never happened before! that no two battles are identical. The items are great and the pokemon selection better be large, Ive had 2 metagross in 2 matches with pokeballs and Im not sure how many pokemon they chose to use. The cast of this game is large to choose from which makes this so tempting. I was playing as Mario and I got the leaf from the second super mario bros that turns him into the raccoon mario, the little things like that are what Im looking for. Super smash bros. 3D!: emphasis on 3D! The 3D looks absolutely stunning! to the only 3ds game I have which is pokemon, while pokemon looks nice it definitely doesnt make use of the 3D to its full capabilities (cough* come on ORAS cough*) the platforms are 3D and they really do pop out at you, its the shit!!! what I dont like Its just smash?: although there are options it doesnt seem like much to do. A case of so many channels yet nothing to watch. But its smash dummy obviously thats what youll get! Well at this point there are much more fulfilling games to get, and for the price Im not sure.I can save another 20 dollars and buy a ps4 game with a full story and a quality online multiplayer. Controls are fine: the first match I was thinking why people are complaining about the circle pad, till I got to the second game and realized it is kind of uncomfortable but its nothing you cant get used to IMO I do have a problem jumping because Im probably on a bad angle trying to push the circle pad up Final Verdict of the demo Theres something about Nintendo I cant let go of as Im sure a lot of you think the same. They make these characters and stories and games that get stuck in our heads and hearts. Sometimes it stays dormant in ourselves and games that come out once in a while like Zelda and pokemon seem to bring it out. This is the reason I tend to complain about Nintendo not making a beefed out steroid driven console like the x box one or ps4. What Im saying is this is indeed a good game. A game that was one of the funnest games to play with friends has now been placed literally on our fingertips for a not so reasonable but workable price. I do plan on getting this tomorrow preferably by download. Each demo match is becoming more fun and as somewhat of a gamer those trophies might be something Id collect for my own satisfaction as well as bragging rights among friends in a humble way of course lol. But I dont see myself playing this much after the gen 3 remakes are out, and with me as a destiny addict, there must be a server crash with destiny and a damaged gen 3 cartridge for me to play it again, but in those nights of raging egg hatching or nights where my girlfriend is asleep and Im bored I may, just may play smash for a modern nostalgic of hearing the announcer saying TIME! that being said Ill probably have a moment where I go through those friends on my list who dont sign on and clear them and make space for when the new remakes come out. Thanks to those who left their inputs on the matter, it helped me make a decision so I appreciate your thoughts
