Ive been playing through some tunes today that I havent sung in YEARS that I thought itd be fun to revisit - Id forgotten how intensely I love some of them, and how they touch my soul and bring me to reflect upon some really important moments in my life, and how my connection to their words and meanings has deepened as the years pass and experiences shape me. Music is so amazing that way... there are so many powerful and gorgeous songs in this world, and they are NEVER the same song twice... always something new to be discovered in them. I wish I had enough time to dedicate myself to really exploring and then sharing all of those musical gems through performance and recording... guess Ill just have to embark on recording a couple thousand albums during the next few decades, eh? :) As impossible as that may be, it would sure be satisfying, I think.
