Ive been putting off taking my cat to get his nails cut, not wanting to wake up early or pay the $10. Hes been getting caught in our clothes/blankets/furniture lately, so I tried to cut his nails myself. It was so easy, I want to cry. I took a little pair of human nail clippers I just bought and cradled him on my lap. He usually lets me hold his paws but started squirming when I squished it to get the get the nail out. I cut the point quickly and he seemed scared at the noise but let me cut the other ones. By the time I finished the first paw, he was just sitting there purring. I cut the other one with no problem and checked the toes, which were dull, so I didnt need to cut them. Hes so chill I cant stand it. It took me less than a minute just to do something I was about to pay $10 to get done.
