Ive been reading about ISOs.......Mainly elementary & middle school directors have created this abbreviation and are battling a problem. The initials stand for Instrument Shaped Object, referring to very cheaply & poorly made instruments, mainly from China, that are sold on Amazon for truly amazingly low prices. The directors claim the instruments cannot be played on pitch, bend, break, fall apart, etc, and no repair shop will touch them, and spare parts do not exist. If one of your kids or grandchildren need an instrument I suggest you go to a local music store to get info, and you can save a bundle by buying a quality, name brand USED instrument
