Ive been rigorously learning about writing for a while now, postponing my manuscript on half way .... I spent hours and days learning many things like writing tips, methods of story telling, how to write and how not to write, elements of success in writing, what market demands, what are the trends and even how to write a best seller technically .... I read many articles, few books, talked to many people - both successful authors and newcomers from a few countries in East and West and sought advices ... After an extensive learning process, this is what I understood : *Dare to be unique ! Actually nobody can predict a trend ... You can, at any moment, come up with a trend that never existed before and thats how megasellers were born ... *Best way to kill your creativity and chances of a great success is mimicking others .... Just because theres an I Too Had A Love Story or Immortals Of Meluha or Five Point Someone or Harry Potter doesnt mean you too should write something like that to succeed ... Yes, again uniquesness matters ! It may give you an average success for a while but in the long run youll be lost in the crowd ... Afterall they all succeeded not by blindly following anyone but by coming up with something unique ... *In case of a book, effectiveness matters, not perfection ... Open-heart writing is the most effective form ... *Never take writing tips and rules seriously if they kill your natural way ... Master the language, know the basics of craft and use these tools in any manner you want ... *Rejection means nothing ... If someone rejects your stuff, it simply means your style is not fitting into his head and his head is not the thing that rules the world ... Be patient ! *Know by what all means the so called market works, only to avoid being decieved ... *Out of all technics and statistics, passion + sincerity is a firece combination, trust it !
