Ive been seeing so many horrible & evil-spirited comments popping up all over the media/internet about the poor woman in hurricane who forgot her baby in the back of her hot car. Normally I dont put too much energy into these things, but this one strikes a chord. After reading the details of how this tragic accident occurred I have nothing but love & heartache for this sweet mommy. Being a busy mom of 4 kids I know how easily your entire morning gets thrown off by a change in routine. While so many find this accident impossible and are saying to themselves well I would NEVER.... That simple isnt true. We all certainly HOPE we would never, but the reality is, people make mistakes, some small, some life altering. This was an enormous, and terrible MISTAKE, and no amount of support will ever bring that sweet baby back, but it will certainly help lighten the gut wrenching guilt this mommy will harbor for the rest of her existence. We are human, and by nature, we are flawed; we make mistakes. Show this family the love and support they so desperately need and keep your inner darkness & selfish need to point out what you assume about these strangers to your selves.
