Ive been so tempted to say something for a while. My intent isnt to offend people. Angelina wore one of these necklaces as it was gifted to us. When she first stated teething, I figured the worst thing it could do was nothing. Health Canada advises against them. Doctors report no evidence they work. Advertisers ARENT allowed to make any claims about these necklaces outside of their availability because there is zero evidence outside of parents reporting a difference that substantiates any benefit. Self-reports outside of scientific control do not discount placebo. Succincid acid likely can only be accessible to the skin if the amber reached 185 degrees. A lot of the reports outside of self-reports, depend on magical claims, accident folklore, or the desire for it to work (anyone who has taken research methods, think Clever Hans study). I dont know about it being a choking hazard as each bead is knotted and the necklace would reportedly break before strangulation. But seriously people, we are spending money on folklore here. Rant over.
