Ive been sponsoring a child in other countries (like Fredie in the Philippines) since I was a teen. Ive volunteered at homeless shelters and community centers and make donations to a Native American center. I even spent the night out with the homeless in the cold once, before catching the flu. And fortunately or unfortunately I agree that “some” homeless people are not good, but there are others who I ran into some with a masters degree and some that were veterans with purple hearts that we recently honored, but once they return they are not treated very well. Then there were those I met who for various reasons preferred to be homeless, but then I ran into some who had no choice, they were just kids, little babies out on the street and in most cases left to fend for themselves. I recently looked on YouTube and found a plethora of videos about street children and wanted to find one to post on here, but most of them were pretty long. This is not only an issue in 3rd world countries but right here in America, in our own back yard. So as we begin to give thanks for our blessings, lets at least keep in our prayers those who have to struggle daily for things we take for granted. You know Im one of those who thinks that you cant always throw money at something and it will go away. But if you can make a donation and then ask your friends to ask their friends and friends of friends to donate at least $1.00 or volunteer their time even if for one day that would help a situation that seems to have no end. Something you probably dont know, my stepmother told me I could leave when I turned 16 had it not been for my grandmothers help thank God, who knows where I could have ended up. youtu.be/2Rsc-2oMB0s
