Ive been struggling to get motivated of late. Getting up, writing music, performing, doing my radio shows, touching on artist management/ A&R work, juggling a personal life, and handling charity - all of these things have been harder to do this year than before. Its something I need to try get a better grip on. That said, Im undyingly thankful for the people around me constantly pushing me and themselves to achieve more. Behind the scenes, the artists under our umbrella are creating some truly exceptional music - the rest of 2014, moving well into 2015 is set to be an incredible time for both my own music as well as for Do Work Rec. To everyone that has stood behind me (there are far too many to name), and to those that continue to push forward with us, I truly cannot thank you enough. There is incredible music going through the release process, as well as refreshingly driven new artists on their way out the woodwork - much of our next year already mapped out. I look forward to being able to show you all (everywhere) that South Africans are not at a loss for international level electronic music; that we can be as good as any well-established cultural hub elsewhere on the planet; that our art is my no means less important. Basically, keep watching out for us. Weve got some big tricks up our sleeves.
