Ive been thinking about my deceased mother a lot lately, not even realizing that it was 2 years ago today that she went home to be with her maker until my sister Tasha reminded me. I remember growing up poor and going into the Brooks 5 & dime (I think that was the name of the store) store downtown one day and she gave me the usual spill, dont touch anything and dont ask for anything! Well like a kid would, I grabbed a toy and she slapped me upside my head. A lady came to my rescue and said Ann you ought not to hit him on the head. Mama replied, I dont see why not, its the hardest damn thing on his body! Lol. After I laughed a little she slapped me upside my head again bcuz I laughed. Even though she was humorous often I still knew when not to cross the line with her discipleship! Until we meet again, Rest In Paradise mama!
