Ive been thinking about the raising of questions, the self-confrontation, the fresh wisdom and renewed sense of compassion that a guided path of religion can offer. But Ive also been thinking of how artists can sometimes cut through any mold and peel off layers of reality in such a revealing and resonating way. I have met religious people that I greatly admire, just as I have met artists that evoke a kind of soul envy in the richness of their knowledge and expression. I think I love both types - the truly religious as well as the one-of-a-kind spinners of human life.
