Ive been thinking lately about the issue of power: the wisdom for its use and how it manifests. My mind immediately went to the One who has it all - Jesus Christ - and how He demonstrated that power here on earth. I was stunned by the revelation! I found that, in spite of the fact that He used His power to heal, to cast out demons and to perform many miracles, He seemed powerless at the hands of those who crucified Him. These people whom He had created, and had power to destroy, were seemingly dominating Him. The question is: why? That answer lies in His purpose for coming to earth: which was to save and not to destroy. Thus, the power He wielded was directed towards that purpose, and was guided by that purpose. Clearly, power doesnt work in isolation, but is designed to be used for something meaningful or purposeful on earth, otherwise it becomes destructive. God bless you.
