Ive been trying to find a way to lessen this crazy wait-time for a tattoo appointment. Its getting impossible to finish things in an expedient manner, and my 2015 schedule is already filling up. I have to find a better way to manage my time, so here are a few minor changes to how I normally run things: - Theres going to be a 2 hour $250 minimum for each session (unless its a touch-up or final touches on something larger). - The deposit to hold an appointment is now $100, and yes Im really keeping it if you skip your appointment. Missing an appointment and not letting me know also means I have to cross out all your future appointments that deposit was holding and give them to someone else. I hate doing that, but I have a lot of work to get done. - Yes, we can do all-day appointments. If you can take the punishment, I can dish it out. Its $1000 for the entire day, and Ill need $200 of that up front. - No, sorry I cant show you a sketch in advance of your appointment. I designed it all in my head during our consultation, but its not going on paper until the hours before your appointment. I prefer to hand draw right on the skin with markers, so half the time there wont be a sketch to show you. You wouldnt understand my stencil sketches anyway because theyre filled with secret artist codes and shorthand. -Black-n-grey. Sometimes, but I prefer to work in color. Dont be surprised if I recommend you to my buddy Joe Stamp who does the best black-n-grey tattoos in town. - Religious subject matter: iffy. Sure, Ill indelibly ink that Virgin Mary of Guadalupe on your butt if you want, but if you start talking about how she appeared in your rose garden and cured your toe fungus, Im going to make fun of you. Theres nothing sacred in my booth except for the creativity. I cant do your tiny Bible verse, but I can sure as hell give you that killer backpiece youve always wanted of Jacob wrestling the angel. Just hold the proselytizing if you expect me to finish it. - Traveling. I do that. But you have to buy my ticket, and I dont mean Greyhound. These changes dont apply to anyone who already has an appointment scheduled. But for everyone else, it goes into effect startinnnnggggggggg................. now.
