Ive been trying to stay positive about todays anniversary because the events of 4/15/13 restored my faith in humanity, heroism, selflessness and sheer bravery! However, this morning I felt like I was punched, once again, in the gut by the reminder of the evil, hatred and cowardly acts of terror that happen in this world and in our backyard. The days since Matthews death have been challenging, to say the least. And just when I start to accept our new normal, another unnecessary act of violence happens which reminds me again that Matthew, Danny, Nick and thousands of others were taken from us by cowards and plain ole mean & rotten people. My heart bleeds tonight for the families & friends of the victims and survivors. I pray that no more families have to experience acts of terror on our soil or across the world. Peace and love, my friends.
