Ive been unable to write anything till now about my dear friend of 40 years as I cant believe hes actually gone. The memories are so abundant and so many that no one other than Bruce would find humorous. From our first job at Sam Wilsons (Bruce was 15 and lied about his age), to my hitting the fire hydrant in his neighborhood with my car after leaving school early for snow (its still leaning to this day), laying down my motorcycle with him on the back at Greek Games at SMS and he had to get back to St. Louis in sorry shape that afternoon (he later bought the bike), tennis with bats (the flying kind) at his apartment in Springfield, on to our being roommates for a brief time in later life with a whole set of new memories. My wife and I are devastated. Talking to him the Sunday before this happened, planning things we were going to do in the near future, I find it incomprehensible. I cant convey how much you will be missed as I really thought wed all grow old together. Look down on us from time to time. Well be toasting you often with a Bruce Martini in hand!
