Ive been underestimated countless times, Ive been knocked down but - TopicsExpress

Ive been underestimated countless times, Ive been knocked down but I got back up. I have fears but I have stared them in the eye and said give it your best shot. Ive been hurt and though we all make mistakes I have done my best to remain kind. I am not a doormat but Im not the type to step on someone and dig the knife in deep just because I can or just because they have. And though it is a challenge I still have managed to smile and laugh even in the darkest times. I could be perceived as weak because I do not discount my feelings but really I am strong for having the strength to acknowledge them. I know my flaws and I know my strengths and I am not afraid to admit my mistakes but in saying that I have not yet been defeated. I have come a long way and though sometimes its tiresome and though the journey hasnt been an easy one I know that I have done my best to make it this far. I know that I have fought hard and long to stand here now. To those who have walked the hard road, the road less travelled by I understand the pain youve felt and the hurt youve kept inside. And I applaud for each breath you take and each day you wake up and try. I know what its like to have to fight when all you want is peace and I am aware that though thats what we want, its not always what we get. However Im a firm believer that those who know this pain have so much good to bring the world and that only few can carry the burdens I speak of. Few can fall so gracefully, get back up and rebuild the world. The world, your world, my world and the world that we wish for is built from the ashes of burnt bridges and lessons learned. So be strong in knowing that to feel is no weakness and have hope because my friend its you wholl make a difference in this world. You are the phoenix rising from the ashes, the gold in the rough, the spring in the step and the beauty in the dark. You are! ©
