Ive been up here at moms, rather than at home, since Wednesday. I somehow figured out how to get/keep the Black Friday page updated and have updates for tomorrow for Cyber Monday, but other than that Ive not accomplished much from here! Grandmas still requiring a lot of attention because double pelvic fractures (about a week and a half or so ago) are just going to take time to heal. That said, Id say shes progressing ahead of the 16 week recovery timeline estimate. When I got here on Wednesday she wasnt doing much at all but was able to do a transfer with someone to spot the chair. Now, Sunday, shes doing all sorts of things like getting out of bed (though she cant get into it), dressing herself in easy clothes, getting into the bathroom (but cant get out due to tricky wheelchair work), and pulling herself up at counters to do everything from dishes to laundry. And I so stalk her from a distance and make sure she gets at least one of the brakes locked and make sure she doesnt miss the chair when she sits back down and generally keep her from getting stuck in hallway corners with the chair. Im still doing a lot of stuff for her but its also a lot less than I was doing on Wednesday. Moms probably gonna freak out how much Im letting her get away with :P But shes not in pain and Id rather her not risk those legs getting weak, the legs were why she fell. And the sooner she can walk with the walker the sooner I we can get her off the blood thinners they have her on to prevent her from throwing a clot and having a stroke from lack of mobility of her legs. Well see if mom tries to put pandora back in the box when she gets home :P
